Originally from the UK, Ruthie recently returned to London having lived and worked in New York.

Known for a bold, graphic style and employing a range of craft skills to deliver vivid images with a fresh perspective, Ruthie relishes the creative process. From the inception of ideas, through the development of concepts to their colourful and vibrant expression, commissioners love her ability to deliver engaging and visually dynamic results. Clients include Johnson & Johnson, The New York Times, New Yorker and Tangle Teazer.

In her personal work Ruthie creates images around important social issues where often a veneer of humour jolts us into recognising the seriousness of the underlying message . Her latest project highlights the Cost of Living crisis; feminist issues also feature strongly in Ruthie’s work, in particular those of inequality and women’s safety in the face of male violence.
