Bio

Vector That Fox is the pseudonym of Sheffield-based illustrator Jo Breese. Jo’s career in illustration began with 4 years’ experience creating graphics and illustrations in-house at The Sunday Times, before establishing her freelance practice in 2018 alongside her role as Senior Lecturer in Illustration at Sheffield Hallam University.

Jo creates beautifully detailed artworks, rendering traditional pen-and-ink style draughtsmanship in a contemporary digital style. Her fresh and dynamic approach to realism is ideal for portraying action and narrative, and she is adept at executing precise, candid scenes and cinematic compositions. Nature is a rich source of inspiration for Jo and she often leans into its darker side, lending a poetic and romantic quality to her work.
